So, as far as i can tell, this program exists to sabotage smart kids. They do shit like guided meditations (hypnosis), social engineering (ego issues), getting kids hooked on speed before they're 12, and priming them to accept cult like situations (be like the group or you'll get kicked out and no longer be special). Pretty much typical of the people who designed the education system: "I want a nation of workers, not thinkers." Also pretty normal for business psychos and "think tanks" to crib stomp any potential competition and disrupters.
Can’t underestimate the effect of telling kids they are special when they haven’t done anything except be smart. Destroys drive in kids and fails to encourage them to actually excel. I think I’d have done better without gate.

Any burger with an ounce of brains should avoid sending kids to any public or standard curriculum schools like a plague. Send them to a decent private school. In my kids private schools they don't even pledge allegiance every day. Fuck the state indoctrination. If you can't afford private school, send them to any religious school. Anything to do with public schooling involves indoctrination and social experiments.
My mother works in a public school system. She told me some years back they've started putting the really smart kids in the same class as the learning disability kids and they're both classed as a form of "special education" now.
I can't even begin to understand the logic behind this.
My school called it TAG and I wish I had never been involved. I swear it was some sort of sabotage or passive aggressive demoralization. Most of the kids I was in TAG with are mainstream normies now. No one accomplished anything exceptional. The most successful person from my graduating class was an average nobody. She never really stood out in anyway. Now she's the CEO of some mortgage bank and is a multi-millionaire.
So there was GATE in my School , GATE kids met once a week, I was in a program called FRAME and we met every day, the classroom had better computers proper macintoshs compared to the computer lab the grade school had at the time in the early 90's I'm talking green monochrome apples with OG Oregon Trail and all that. FRAME from what I can remember was more STEM oriented, with a focus on mathematics above my age level at the time. Anyone else in FRAME?
I was in gate in early 00’s really don’t remember much about the school even though I was there for five years. I’ve been interested in the gate conspiracy for a while but haven’t bothered looking into it deeply. Looked up my old school finally because I thought pictures would jog my memory. Almost all of my friends from my graduating class who were in the GATE program (or similiar) had over 4.0 GPAs (due to their AP course grades being scaled more than regular course grades) and were stellar students, but only a small handful demonstrated truly inquisitive or creative intellect otherwise. I remember thinking that GATE and AP/IB selection criteria was woefully inadequate if it churned out this quality of brain. My class’ valedictorian from that group actually was a genius, and started his own circus troupe instead of going to college. Out of the remaining 40 or so kids with that academic background that I kept in touch with over the next decade, I can name maybe 3 who created something truly extraordinary with their lives, their careers, or their brains. Half of them petered out and regressed to the mean; two girls got kids; one become a neurosurgeon but shot himself last year; another became a physicist and gave that up to surf all over the world (genuinely cool dude, too). Point being, there’s only a moderate positive correlation between grades and life achievement. I don’t envy any of them.
I was in TAG. I scored 138-140 through 6 years of official testing, year in and year out, from age 7-12. TAG classes at my school, a large public high school, consisted of an alternate homeroom for TAG kids to go to for one period a day. We did brain teasers, played chess, invented board games and card games to play with each other, and went on a couple of field trips. It was entirely normal and this /x/ "GATE IS A CONSPIRACY" dipshit echo chamber is nauseating.
I was in GATE for years and it was literally just some nerds taking the autistic kids out to do cool science projects like catalogue dead sharks (There was like 30 sharks in big plastic containers and it was fucking awesome to handle them) and catalogue cheap minerals. Felt a lot like a field trip. They didnt really do anything that was too far removed from teambuilding activities that they push on kids in their normal curriculum already. I can only remember playing a couple teambuilding games and that was during our "recess break" we got after cataloguing sharks.
Excuse me if I am being a schizoid but I recall two strange things from the gate years. In speech therapy they had us repeat a couple sentences, something about a witch. At least one of the teachers made us make devil horns walking in the hallway because it looks like a coyote with lips shut together
Was in GATE, nothing really major, learned everything faster than everyone else, got Tiktaks, had the hearing tests. Know that last one has nothing to do with gate but you Schizos seem to think so. How fucked am I?
The hide and seek exercise consisted of the class being informed that a game was going to be played. One of the kids was picked out to be the "monster" and asked to leave the room. The monster would then enter through the classroom door, and then the classroom lights would be flipped off. While the lights were out, all movement was permitted for the fleeing, and we were encouraged to hide. Beneath desks, in classroom supply closets, behind coats, etc. The goal of the game was to escape through the classroom door. Obviously you couldn't do it while the monster was standing *at* the door. When the lights were turned on, the monster could see, and if the monster could see you make a movement, no matter how slight, you were out of the game and asked to leave the classroom and wait in the hall, but in a separate file from the kids who managed to escape successfully. The monster was allowed to move freely while the lights were on, while all the other students were 'frozen.' Movement while the lights were on, meant you died.
I intentionally failed the game.
I got right up to the door while the monster was busy looking elsewhere further into the classroom. Coulda made a run for it any time, but took cover near the door and observed. The monster eventually realized that it could stop people from escaping just by camping the door, so it returned to where I was.
The monster looked right at me. I looked right in the monster's eyes. And then, knowing the monster would see it, I twitched a finger.
Out of the game, into the hall.
Given the number of GATE threads here and on /x/, does it not seem odd that an actual teacher or admin for these programs never responds and explains? Who is actually running these? There is always only half remebered, misty details. Does any one here actually administer these classes?

I was in GATE. They made me play a lot of Chess, Stratego, and SC Broodwar. My parents moved out of CA (to SD) my 7th grade year so I never went further than that.
I remember a lot of field trips to places like the Exploreratorium and Golden Gate Park. I enjoyed it because I got out of my Jogger-filled class.
I was in and all it did was fuck up my regular class time because they'd pull you out of class for GATE meetings and the period it happened was math so my grades started to suffer and I had my mom pull me out of the program. If anything I'd say it works to make gifted students into average students kek
When I was in the program we just did a different curriculum. No hypnosis or whatever the fuck you're getting at. Had to take a weird pattern recognition IQ test to get in and be recommended.
They did have me on Concerta though Claimed I had ADD. No Ritalin/Adderall

so when you have smart children, do not put them in these programs. send them to public school in the Whitest area possible and join the PTA if you cannot homeschool. Overloading AP this and that is really not helpful. University is overrated.
I was in a program called "project potential, for gifted and talented children." I assume it was some variation of gate. we did a lot of psychological testing and were kept segregated from the normies. I liked it at the time, but these threads have caused me to reevaluate the experience.
I don’t know bout much this program, but in Russia during 90s Soros gave away money to teachers who worked with talented students. I was in mathematics school with such teachers.
Funny thing, once me and boys found porn at school’s computer, we couldn’t watch a lot of it, but one of the teacher freaked out when she saw us at computer. Years later I think there was CP, and teachers fucked kids at summer school (I joined to that math school during my late teen so I wasn’t invited there)
I was in TAG (talented and gifted) programs when I was a kid. They were very good back then. Separated us from the normie kids which is much better because we're so different at a young age that it's hard to socialize and you end up getting bullied real bad and shit. Plus i learned a lot. I was able to do a lot of exploration of mathematics and logic in those classes which I definitely needed to prevent brainrot. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed the programs to sabotage smart kids though. I have no idea what these programs are like today. I do remember that when I was a kid I moved around a lot and there always seemed to be pushes to get rid of those programs or to 'mainstream' them and put the smart kids back in the normie kid class. I had to attend normie classes in a couple places I lived. It was fucking horrible. This is just more sabotage of white kids. Jews go to private schools so it doesn't affect them.
It was very interesting. They took us to study the Mayan wars in a basement with no windows. We would put on these old brown headsets which would help us identify patterns in paintings and books we were reading. Also, they taught us to love Vermeer paintings as the height of art and that Frank Lloyd Wright was the only acceptable architecture. I don't remember much else though.
Kids that are in "gifted and talented" classes never end up being Valedictorians or even particularly high achieving academic-wise. Those classes are really about taking kids that are above the curve and pumping the brakes on them so they can re-introduce them to the main line of class work by the time high school comes around.
I went to gate at a school on a US military base in europe in the mid 80s. I remember advanced maths, access to computers with color screens, learning logo and basic, reading college tier book, the headphone testing, the predict the shapes testing and lots of weird multiple choice testing in dark rooms. I remember thinking the multiple choice tests were dumb because they were so obvious and easy. Our gate teacher was a weird old lady who looked like a witch who I now realize was Jewish. We also studied a lot of art. I went for 3 years and then ended up in an elite private school in England before moving back to the USA for high school. Once I got to high school I didn’t learn anything because I already learned it all. I would turn in old papers I wrote in middle school and just coasted. I had the big nose art school girlfriend in college. I ended up also pursuing the arts and music and haven’t had a real job since after 9-11 when I decided to drop out of tax paying society.
